A RARE Ferrari is heading to auction for £575,000.
The 1972 Daytona is one of just 158 sold in the UK – and has a unique colour scheme.
Only 15 were painted in the “Argento Auteuil” silver making this model extremely valuable to collectors.
The 175mph sports car has barely been used, too, having been kept for special occasions.
That means it’s racked up just 35,900 miles in the last 46 years.
The sleek sports car comes with leather seats and air conditioning – and the entire interior has been restored with the original Blue Connelly hide interior, door trims and dashboard using period correct materials.
Under the bonnet is a 4.4-litre V12 engine rebuilt by Cheshire Classic Cars.
The Daytona was a star of its time and Elton John bought himself one in 1973.
And this year, the Ferrari Daytona celebrates 50 years since its launch at the 1968 Paris Motor Show.
At the time it was the most expensive and fastest road-going Ferrari ever built.
Auctioneers have estimated this model to be worth between £500,000 and £575,000.
And it comes with a history file containing over 20 old MoT certificates, copies of the original factory order form and invoices from respected marque specialists.

Adam Rutter, classic car specialist at Silverstone Auctions, said: “Without doubt, this is one of the most exceptional Ferraris we’ve had the pleasure to offer for sale.
“It’s in incredible condition thanks to the very careful ownership of its previous guardians, and I’m sure it will be of serious interest to car collectors worldwide.”
The Ferrari Daytona will be auctioned off at the Silverstone Circuit during its inaugural “A Sale of Ferraris in association with Ferrari Owners’ Club GB” on 18th May.
