CORONATION Street fans have been pondering a very serious question over Cassie Plummer’s seemingly perfect teeth.
Former Brookside actress Claire Sweeney joined the soap in June of this year playing the role of the drug addict.
But fans have been wondering about her white pearls en masse, as they thought they were not in keeping with her persona.
However, it now seems that Coronation Street writers have tried to tackle the problem in Wednesday night’s edition of the long-running soap.
Claire, 52, took up the role of Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) estranged mother, who is also the daughter of Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman).
In scenes aired this week, the car mechanic tried to remind his daughter Hope – whom he shares with Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) – about brushing her teeth.

And Cassie wanted to emphasise the point saying that she would have to fork out serious dough to get them fixed at the dentist if she didn’t look after her gnashers properly.
“Look after them, I don’t want you forking out like I’ve had to over the years,” Cassie exclaimed.
She added: “These have cost me a fortune.”
Viewers have previously taken to social media to discuss how, despite Claire’s incredible acting, her appearance had distracted them somewhat.
One wrote: “Cassie has got bright white teeth for someone that’s been a drug abuser for so many years.”
Another added: “Did the make up teams talent not stretch to Claire Sweeney’s teeth?”
A third tweeted: “Claire Sweeney is brilliant but there’s no was she’s a drug addict with those teeth.”
Meanwhile a fourth shared: “Tyrone’s mum .. perfect veneers, Botox and eyebrows done .. who cast Claire Sweeney as a druggy ?”
