The first will air in April 2022 on ITV, although an exact date is yet to be revealed.

After each episode has aired, you’ll be able to watch them on the ITV Hub.

What will happen on DNA Journey?

The celebrities taking part are put into pairs through friendship or family.

Each duo sets off on a quest to discover where they come from and unearth secrets from their past in a life changing and emotional voyage of discovery.

Delving into their family histories, the celebrated TV duos will be using cutting edge DNA technology and genealogy to uncover the truth behind their bloodlines, as well as coming face to face with living relatives they never before knew existed.

The batch of celebrities follow in the footsteps of other stars, including Ant & Dec, and Martin and Roman Kemp.

Who is in the DNA Journey celebrity line-up?

As mentioned, the new series is going out in two parts in 2022.

The first part sees three incredible globetrotting DNA stories from Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska plus Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace whose friendship takes them on a road trip they will never forget.

In the second part of the series, going out in the Autumn, brings together more big names.

Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb, Joel Dommett and Tom Allen, plus Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway.

Kathleen Larkin, Executive Producer at Voltage TV, says: “It’s always a treat to see our celebrity pairings as you’ve never seen them before. In this series, they face particularly emotional revelations…which always end with an uplifting resolution that warms the heart.”
