A BRIT abroad claimed he has stayed in the worst hotel at a tourist hotspot, which has left fellow travellers amazed.
The tourist took to social media and left a scathing review of his Bulgarian accommodation, despite paying less than £10 for the room.
The man planned to have a relaxing stay at the port city of Varna, which sees more than one million visitors descend upon its beaches every summer.
However, his trip was ruined when he discovered he had been duped with his hotel.
He subsequently filmed a short clip on his TikTok @downtherapids and took viewers on a tour of the pad.
Vision of the place painted a grim reality with graffiti covered walls, a dingy living area and cramped spaces.
He said: “So I have come to Bulgaria and I’m in a place called Varna and it’s the third largest city in the country.
“And it’s official, I have booked the worst hotel room that Bulgaria has to offer – and its not even a hotel.
“Now I thought I was getting a right bargain, I paid £10 a night for this and I’ve just rang up my friend who is Bulgarian and showed him around.
“He was like ‘where the hell are you and what have you booked’ and he advised for me to get out and book a proper hotel.”
The man then began climbing the staircase as he tried to find the bathroom.
It was a small dim room with no light and a shower and toilet in one.
He said: “This is what I’m supposed to shower in… very dodgy toilet, no toilet paper.
“That going to get a bit messy later.”
He continued up another flight of stairs to his bedroom.
As he entered, the true horror was exposed.
He said: “This is literally my room guys, somehow in this tiny space they’ve managed to fit two beds in.
“There’s like a random chair here and the guy was like ‘this is your window’ but it doesn’t really look like a window, it’s just a flap in the wall.”
More grim was his makeshift heater the size of sandwich press, a radio from the Soviet era, a plate of conker nuts and a water bottle with yellow liquid in it.
He said: “Oh what is this, it looks like a bottle of wee – I don’t even want to know what is in that, I can’t believe I just touched that.
“So yeah to be honest, I think I am going to pack up my stuff and get the hell out of here.”
The video went gangbusters with more than 470,00 views.
However, other tourists said he got what he paid for.
“Bro paid €10 but wants to have it all like a €100 hotel,” a TikTok user said.
“Did you really think paying that amount would get you something decent… I don’t understand,” one added.
“How do people even find these places,” a second remarked.
“Get what you pay for,” a third claimed.
