Laura Williams, known online as @cleaning_at83, regularly shares cleaning tips with her one million followers.
In her latest video, the savvy mum shares how she reuses her Flash Powermop Solution bottles – and can even replace the cleaning fluid with a cheaper version.
“I haven’t had my power mop very long, and I thought these were just refillable.
“And I found out they wasn’t, and they are so expensive to buy.
“I was told recently all I need to do is put it in hot water, and it gets the screw top off.
“Love that I’m saving money by doing this, and also I’m not having to buy plastic bottles all the time.”
During the 24-second reel, the content creator can be seen boiling the kettle and pouring hot water into a mug, before placing the bottle upside down into it, so the lid is submerged.
After a few minutes, she places a dry cloth over the lid and twists, successfully opening it.
Fans loved the TikTok reel, with it gaining more than 3,400 likes and 92,000 views in 17 hours.
In the comments, Laura’s followers thanked her for sharing the idea, with one writing: “Wish I knew this! I bulk brought like 5!! It cost an arm and leg!!”
