AN INTERIOR designer shared tips on how to make a home neater for “messy girls.”
The professional said the tips were not only helpful but also require little effort.
Brie (@studiobrie) shared the advice with over 90,000 TikTok followers.
“Here are three interior design tips to help you if you love interiors but you’re not the tidiest person,” she said.
First up were wall hooks for clothing and accessories.
“Whenever you get dressed, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom, bedroom, install wall hooks,” she said.
“What this does is when you’re getting ready and there are fifteen outfits on the floor and you’re running out the door, instead of leaving them there, you can quickly grab them, it’ll take 45 seconds,” she said.
“This lifts the eye up from the floor and makes it a little neater and more palatable when you get home later.”
Next up, she recommended linen bedding for the ultimate “lazy girl” hack.
“Linen bedding is made to look undone, it’s made to look casual and it naturally has creases, meaning you can quickly make your bed and it will look intentional,” she said.
Last but not least, a decorating tip she dished out was large vessels or bowls on surfaces.
“This is a little bit of a bandaid solution but I think it keeps you less overwhelmed if things are really messy, you can just sweep it all into the vessel,” she said.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on her tips.
“Love this! Personal preference but my biggest revelation was getting rid of the top sheet and sleeping just under the duvet,” said one commenter.
“Bed takes 2 secs to make.”
Others shared their own hacks and tips for easy home solutions.
“Double sided laundry basket – one side is for washing, the other side is rewear,” said one viewer.
