“His family came to the studio and they were so proud that he’d turned a childhood hobby into a career.
“We will miss him and send our condolences to his family.”

Rylan, who used to present on the daytime ITV show, commented: “God that’s really sad. Sending love x”
Taking to her own Instagram Story, Holly shared a photo of the late presenter, writing, “So shocked and saddened to hear the news today. Matty was a wonderful person with a true passion for what he did…
“My love goes out to his friends and family at what must be a very difficult time.”
Matty was well known for his devotion to hoovers, a hobby that started when he was just two.
The young man was also a well loved member of the Labour Party in Sefton and Merseyside and was recently elected as a town councillor in Maghull.
He was also a parish councillor in Lydiate.
Labour’s deputy leader Angela Rayner said: “Incredibly sad news, Matty did so much for his community. My love and prayers are with his friends and family.”
Speaking in the past about his hoover passion, Matty said: “I get them off eBay or find them in skips and people have even started leaving them outside my back door.
“I can get a broken machine for about £5, fix it and sell it on for £50.”
