ANDY Carver arrived on the Coronation Street cobbles in 2014 pretending to be the long lost son of Michael Rodwell.
The character, who was played by Oliver Farnworth, starred in the ITV soap for three years.
His arrival storyline saw him surprise former resident Michael, who was portrayed by Les Dennis.
He pretended to be his long lost son Gavin but was eventually exposed for lying.
Throughout his stint in Weatherfield Andy worked at Nick’s Bistro (now the Viaduct) as a waiter.
He was romantically involved with fellow waitress Steph Britton and the pair had planned to leave Weatherfield together before Andy was kidnapped.
Serial killer Pat Phelan had whacked him over the head with a laptop and held him hostage at a derelict house.
While being falsely imprisoned by Phelan, Andy was made to kill Pat’s former friend Vinny Ashford.
But after shooting him dead, cruel Phelan then turned the gun on Andy and murdered him.
Before pointing the gun at him, Pat said that Andy would not have been able to deal with killing another person and didn’t want him to suffer any grief.
Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan was played by Connor McIntyre, who was a businessman, builder and con artist.
He first arrived on the soap in 2013 and immediately made himself an enemy of the Windass family.
His ex-wife Valerie divorced him in 2014 and he married Eileen Grimshaw in 2017.
Pat’s first victim was Michael Rodwell, Gail Platt’s husband.
He didn’t directly kill him but when he suffered a heart attack in November 2016, Pat did nothing to help him and watched him die.
In a dramatic showdown Pat was murdered by Anna Windass in the kitchen of the Bistro.
