Attorney General Daniel Cameron was previously married to Elizabeth Cameron.

The pair tied the knot back in 2016 but divorced a year later for unknown reasons.

Very little is known about his ex-wife, as Cameron tends to keep his personal life private and away from his political spotlight.

When did Daniel Cameron remarry?

In August 2020, Cameron married Makenze Evans in a private outdoor ceremony. 

Senator Mitch McConnell reportedly traveled to Louisville to attend the wedding.

At the time, Cameron was criticized for holding a celebration during the coronavirus pandemic.

Cameron and Evans share one son together.

Where is Daniel Cameron from? 

Cameron – who is running for Kentucky governor as of May 2023 – hails from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. 

His mother was a professor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and his father owned a local coffee shop.

He currently lives in Louisville and works as the attorney general for the state.

Cameron is the first African-American attorney general of Kentucky, as well as the first Republican to hold the office since 1944.

He ran for Attorney General in 2019 and defeated State Senator Wil Schroder in the primaries and was endorsed by President Trump.

Cameron also presided over the Breonna Taylor case and ruled that the officers involved would not face charges for her death.

If he is elected governor, Cameron will become Kentucky’s first Black governor.
